The Cafe influence: Abendbrot, Abendessen, abgießen, abkühlen, abseihen

Abendbrot [x]
According to this article I read from DAAD, typically Germans do not eat heavy meals in the evening. Most of them prefer to have a slice of bread with butter with one or two cold cuts or cheese. This is what you call an Abendrot.
Abendessen [x]
Dinner in Germany is always a smaller meal that consists of a variety of breads, meat or sausages, cheese and some kind of vegetables, or sandwiches.
abgießen - To Drain [x]
abkühlen - To cool off, to cool down [x]

abseihen - To strain, to sieve [x]
