Apfelsaftschorle or apple spritzer is a non-alcoholic drink made by mixing apple juice with sparkling mineral water/carbonated water. It is one of the most popular soft drinks in Germany.


Apfelstrudel - apple strudel [x]
The Apfelstrudel is a type of sweet or savory layered pastry with a filling inside. It consists of of an oblong strudel pastry jacket with an apple filling inside. The filling is of from grated apples, sugar, cinnamon, raisins, and bread crumbs. The apple strudel is sliced and traditionally is served warm, often sprinkled with powdered sugar.

The hunt continues, and I land on YouTube.

The perks of having no classes on a Monday is that I get to catch up on any homework and/or project that I've missed during the weekend. And so I've dedicated the whole morning of today to scour the World Wide Web for anything that might help me with my German. YouTube was perhaps one of the best choices for this feat. At first I didn't know what to look for and the millions of videos available in YouTube did not help me decide. Thank goodness I suddenly remembered a lesson we had last, last week when Frau Arroyo played the German Alphabet for us. Without further ado, here it is! I downloaded it and have been listening to it for the past few minutes. :-)

Amidst the millions, my eyes were set on only one.

The German Alphabet wasn't enough for me so I decided to search for a video about numbers and I found this perfect clip! It's amazingly easy to understand, plus the tune is quite catchy. Perfect for starters like me!!! I shall play this over and over again so I can become familiar with the pronunciation, inflection and such. It's difficult to learn a new language but it can be done! :-)
